Crushed Dreams

To become the ultimate fashion designer, you need to know how to sew, right? Yes, yes you do. But on the other hand, it also helps to have a vivid imagination, so you can come up with ideas on what to sew.
Sometimes I wonder if my dreams of becoming a FD are crushed because I can't sew, or because I'm just not trying hard enough. Probably the latter, knowing myself. I give up too easy, like the time I fought with my sister for her blonde barbie doll. I should have kept fighting to get what I wanted, instead of being a wimp and giving up early.
But is courage and a long attention span really all you need? Perhaps. But also,  just knowing how to use a sewing machine doesn't mean anything. It doesn't mean you're guaranteed a spot on Project Runway or an automatic in to the fashion world.
But you know, if that's indeed true, then why do I want to learn how to sew so badly?
